Trump assured that the operation would not be complicated, as the US has a significant amount of ammunition distributed across various countries around the world.
Additionally, the president noted that he has "three quite worthy options" to replace the current leadership of Iran, but he refused to disclose their names.
“I’m not ready to name them yet. Let’s first finish what we started,” Trump remarked.
When asked how Washington envisions a change of power in Iran, Trump replied that local military personnel, including officers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, could hand over their weapons to the people.
The president also suggested an alternative scenario: “What we did in Venezuela looks like the ideal option.”
He added that he is ready to lift sanctions on Iran if the new leadership becomes a pragmatic partner. However, Trump dodged the question of whether the US would protect the Iranian people.
“I am not making any commitments to either side; it is still too early. We have work to do, and we are handling it very effectively. I would say we are significantly ahead of schedule,” the president commented.
The military actions of Israel and the US against Iran began on February 28, when multiple air and missile strikes were carried out on cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israel and American bases in several countries in the Middle East. After the initial strikes, Trump confirmed the start of a military operation called "Lion's Roar" in his video address.
As a result of the escalation of the conflict, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as several high-ranking officials from Tehran, were killed.
The situation in the Middle East continues to deteriorate, with missile strikes ongoing from both sides. Tens of thousands of people have been trapped due to the closed airspace over the conflict zone.
