From February 27 to 28, the international tournament California Open IKO World Championship for Clubs & Individuals took place in San Francisco, California, where Kyrgyzstani Islam Narynbekov became the world champion. This event was covered by the Federation of Kettlebell Sport of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Narynbekov, representing the village of At-Bashy in the Naryn region, competed in the weight category over 95 kg and took first place in the "biathlon" discipline, using kettlebells weighing 32×32 kg.

Athletes from various countries participated in the championship, highlighting its high international status.

Islam has been representing Kyrgyzstan on the world stage for several years and demonstrates outstanding results in kettlebell sport.

The athlete shared his thoughts: "It is a great honor for me to represent Kyrgyzstan on the world stage. I step onto the platform not only for personal victory but for my country and for those who believe in me. Every title is the result of discipline, hard work, and responsibility." He also expressed support for his brother Nurlan.
