Kyrgyzstani Islam Bayalinov won gold at the Open Masters Games

Recently, Islam Bayalinov, representing Kyrgyzstan, won a gold medal at the Open Masters Games 2026, which took place in the United Arab Emirates. The competition started on February 7 in Abu Dhabi, as reported by the press service of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In this tournament, the head coach of the women's judo team of Kyrgyzstan, Islam Bayalinov, competed in the under 73 kg category, starting the competition from the round of 16.

The 40-year-old athlete managed to achieve four consecutive victories, defeating his opponents from Brazil and Kazakhstan, which earned him the gold medal.

It is worth noting that at the end of January this year, Islam Bayalinov also participated in the Kyrgyzstan Championship, where he won a silver medal.
