Arafi, born in 1959 in Meybod, is a well-known religious and political figure. Since 2022, he has held a position in the Assembly of Experts of Iran.

As the head of Iranian seminaries, Arafi has actively participated in transforming the country's educational system, aiming to implement Islamic principles in university and spiritual education. He has also advocated for replacing traditional humanities textbooks with versions that align with the ideology of Ruhollah Khomeini.

Additionally, he led the International University of Al-Mustafa, which had the opportunity to recruit fighters for the elite IRGC unit.

In March 2022, Arafi was elected to the Assembly of Experts of Iran from Tehran and became a member of the Guardian Council.

It should be noted that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed on February 28. This information was officially confirmed by the country's authorities.

Earlier, the IRGC stated its intention to take revenge on the United States and Israel for the assassination of the Supreme Leader and announced the beginning of "the most powerful offensive operation in the history of the Armed Forces of Iran."

The attack by Israel and the United States on Iran began on February 28 with large-scale air and missile strikes on Iranian cities and military sites. In response, Tehran struck Israel and American military bases in several countries in the Middle East. In the first hours after the attack, several high-profile Iranian officials and military personnel were killed. U.S. President Donald Trump, in his statement about the start of the military operation "Lion's Roar," confirmed the attack on Iran.
