At the entrance to the state natural park "Besh-Tash," located in the Talas region, a herd of ibex was spotted. According to eyewitnesses, there were ten individuals.

On December 10, a video featuring these mountain ibex was recorded in the Arashan Mazary area, according to information provided by the park administration.

“Currently, in the natural park 'Besh-Tash,' we are delivering hay to feed the wild animals. In the Eralgy area, we managed to capture on video a group of mountain goats consisting of 10 animals, including one male, three females, and several kids. We are pleased that such a number of rare and beautiful species inhabit our park,” the park's message states.

______________

The "Besh-Tash" park is home to over 800 species of flowering plants, including about 28 species of woody shrubs. The main forest areas consist of coniferous species:

- Tian Shan spruce — 1105 ha

- Tree juniper — 135 ha

- Fir — 15 ha

- Pine — 2 ha

Hardwood species occupy 26 ha, mainly represented by elms, while softwood species cover 22 ha, of which 16 ha are birches. Other tree species occupy 16 ha, and shrubs cover 3579 ha. The total timber stock in the park is 106.9 thousand m³. Unique spruce forests with a mix of Semenov's fir have been preserved in the Besh-Tash gorge.

The fauna of the park is also diverse. Here you can find roe deer, ibex, hare, fox, wolf, marten, mink, and ermine. Among the birds, the rock partridge and the chukar inhabit the area.

Special attention should be paid to the representatives of the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan that inhabit the park: snow leopard, Turkestan lynx, golden eagle (snow griffon), saker falcon, and bearded vulture.

The Besh-Tash River, with a length of 34 km, is the main water artery of the natural park, having tributaries such as Shanek, Toboy, Kainy, and several small streams. Rainbow trout also inhabit this river.

All rivers in the park belong to the Tian Shan type of water regime, characterized by prolonged spring-summer floods. The main sources of river feeding are glaciers and snow. The riverbeds are winding and rocky, with narrow steep-sided valleys and gorges often blocked by boulders.
