Information about the winter feeding of wild ungulates in the 'Karatala-Japyrik' reserve was received from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan. These activities took place on January 13-14 in the Karatash area.

The specialists of the agency prepared and placed feed collected during the summer-autumn period, including hay, branch feed, and salt, in specially designated locations.

These initiatives aim to improve the nutrition of wild animals during the winter period, with the goal of preserving their population and reducing stress.

The reserve is home to such ungulate species as argali, ibex, mountain goat, maral, and roe deer, as well as predators including wolves, snow leopards, and lynxes. "In addition, rare bird species such as the Himalayan goose, black stork, demoiselle crane, and golden eagle can be found in the reserve," the agency informed.
