In one of the villages of the Batken region, a hawk [“kyrgy”] that accidentally found itself in the settlement has returned to its natural habitat.

According to information provided by the Department of Protected Natural Areas and Biodiversity of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Batken region, specialists conducted an examination of the hawk that flew into the village, along with an expert in the field. After that, the bird was successfully released back into the wild.

This hawk belongs to the family of falcons and is a powerful wild predatory bird with characteristic yellowish plumage on its head. Such birds primarily inhabit mountainous and forested areas.

Ecologists note that the hawk in Kyrgyzstan is a rare species and plays a key role in maintaining ecological balance. It should be noted that illegal keeping of protected wild animals is prohibited in the country.
