At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security, and Migration, Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva spoke about a case where a family was unable to go on a minor pilgrimage due to a fine of which they were completely unaware.

According to the parliamentarian, a family of five reached out to her.

“They had thoroughly prepared for the trip, checking their status for any debts. The 'Tunduk' system showed no fines, but despite this, border guards did not allow them to board the flight, citing a debt of 1,000 soms. This indicates that the systems of the Border Service and 'Tunduk' are not synchronized, and there is no unified database of debtors. As a result, the family incurred significant losses, losing money! Moreover, even after paying the debt at the airport, the information is only updated in the system after three hours. The plane, however, will not wait for the system to process the payment?” — explained Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva.

Marat Maralbaev, the first deputy head of the Border Service, noted that the agency has a system called SVM, which records all fines. “Yes, in some cases, there are indeed overlaps as you mentioned. However, we strive to resolve such issues promptly on the spot. Every citizen can check their debts using a QR code at the checkpoint,” he added.
