At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Aigul Akhmedova expressed the need for Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva to travel to the regions.

According to her, although it is now the 21st century, many schools and kindergartens in remote areas look as if they have been left behind in the last century.

“Our esteemed Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva is actively opening new schools and kindergartens, for which we support her. However, many educational institutions in the regions remain without proper attention: the conditions are deplorable, the floors are rotten, and the desks remind one of the 19th-20th centuries. In addition, there is a shortage of teachers and textbooks,” noted Akhmedova.

She proposed to include in the protocol a directive for the minister to visit the regions and assess the situation with education, as well as to see how children are learning.

“It is necessary to develop not only urban schools but also to pay attention to the regions. Otherwise, if the conditions remain poor, parents will be forced to send their children to urban institutions to ensure they receive a quality education,” the deputy expressed her dissatisfaction.
