At the meeting of the committee on agrarian policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection of the Jogorku Kenesh, Altynbek Kylychbaev, a deputy, proposed to allow investors to engage in the processing of waste generated during gold mining.

According to Kylychbaev, he was approached by the company "Asia Gold Service," which intends to establish a plant in Kyrgyzstan for processing this waste.

“Currently, there are no recycling technologies in our country. However, the company is ready not only to bring the necessary equipment but also to train local specialists. This could bring significant benefits to our economy. Moreover, the cost of the equipment is quite affordable. To date, over 100 tons of such waste have accumulated in the country, and investors are ready to invest their funds. I believe that such initiatives should be supported,” the deputy noted.

Amantur Tursuniyazov, head of the Kyrgyz Geological Service and deputy minister of natural resources, ecology, and technical supervision, also spoke. He emphasized that each gold-extracting plant has its unique technologies for processing waste.

“Investors should contact us to discuss the nuances of production,” Tursuniyazov added.
