Fines will vary depending on the role of the offender


Dastan Bekeshev, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, proposed to introduce fines for those who obstruct campaigning during elections. He announced the relevant amendments at a committee meeting.

The amount of the fine will depend on the role of the offender; for ordinary citizens, a fine of 10,000 soms is proposed, while housing committee members, heads of management companies, and chairpersons of homeowners' associations may face a fine of 20,000 soms.
