On March 12, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh discussed and approved a resolution regarding the implementation of a previously adopted decision to combat fraud in the banking sector and the Internet.
This initiative implements the resolution dated June 25, 2025, No. 3297-VII, aimed at strengthening measures to combat fraudulent activities in the banking sector and online.
The author of the document, deputy Mederbek Aliyev, reported that according to the resolution, the Cabinet of Ministers, the General Prosecutor's Office, and the National Bank will be tasked with providing the parliament with information on measures taken to counter fraudulent schemes on a quarterly basis. He noted that in recent years there has been an increase in new types of fraud related to banking operations and the Internet, leading to significant financial losses for many citizens.
Aliyev also emphasized the need for systemic analysis and improved efficiency of government agencies in preventing these crimes.
During the discussion, deputy Altynbek Kylchbaev highlighted the importance of improving legislation in the fight against dropper schemes, pointing out that such schemes often affect youth and minors.
Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva raised questions about the work and resources of the cybersecurity department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Gula Kozhokulova drew attention to the protection of bank databases. Yldyzyz Egemberdieva, in turn, noted the problem of the spread of false information and defamation through fake accounts on the Internet.
