The proposed amendments aim to simplify the process of correcting errors in the personal identification number (PIN). In particular, it is suggested to remove previous restrictions that allowed technical errors to be corrected only if they occurred before July 1, 2017.

In some cases, one person may have multiple PINs, or the same number may be issued to different individuals.
