At the meeting held on March 14, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic prematurely terminated Shairbek Tashiev's powers as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh at his own request.
The Commission confirmed that the deputy certificate issued to Tashiev is now considered invalid.
Later, his address to the voters was posted on the page of his supporter Baktygul Berkbaeva on social media.
“For me, being a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh is not only a great honor but also a serious responsibility to our people. Thanks to your support, I was able to take this position and serve our country.
Today, March 14, 2026, I have decided to resign my deputy powers, which were granted to me through your trust. I have tried to live up to your expectations. This decision was not easy for me. I have carried out all my actions guided by the interests of the state and respecting the trust of the people.
In the interest of political stability and the tranquility of our society, I was compelled to take this step. Recently, false accusations against me and my family have appeared on social media, which negatively affected the peace of my loved ones.
Your trust is of the utmost value to me. I have always appreciated your support. Regardless of whether I hold a political position or work in another field, I will continue to serve the people and my country.
Thank you for your support and trust. I wish everyone health, peace, and prosperity,” Tashiev's message reads.
