The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has decided to prohibit the construction of buildings taller than three stories in the area of the under-construction football stadium "Bishkek Arena" in the Lenin district of the capital.

This resolution was adopted to enhance the safety of this strategic facility, as well as to regulate its usage and operation.

The ban applies to all design, construction, and reconstruction works, as well as any changes within 500 meters of the stadium, if the height of the buildings exceeds 20 meters (which corresponds to three stories).

Some sources report that this restriction does not affect the following facilities:

The under-construction "Bishkek Arena" stadium will accommodate around 51,000 spectators and will become the largest football facility in Kyrgyzstan. It is located in the area of the village of Orok.

The project is being implemented in accordance with international standards of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation, which will allow international matches and tournaments to be held at the arena.

Completion of construction is expected by the end of August 2026.
