According to government information, 60 athletes from three countries competed in the tournament: Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
Speaking at the event, Kasymaliev emphasized that the fishing industry in Kyrgyzstan is actively developing, meeting the internal needs of the country and opening up opportunities for product export. He also noted that the water bodies of the republic are ideally suited for amateur and sports fishing.





Kasymaliev also noted that Kyrgyz athletes are showing good results on the international stage. For instance, the Kyrgyz team in feeder fishing took 20th place at the 2024 World Championship in Spain. In April, the athletes will participate in the 15th World Championship in Italy.







At the end of the event, Kasymaliev announced the opening of the feeder fishing season for 2026 and congratulated the Federation of Sports Fishing of Kyrgyzstan on its tenth anniversary.
