Kamchybek Tashiev, who holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, stated that he is not interested in presidential power.
In an interview featured in the documentary film by Aibek Biibosun uulu, Tashiev emphasized that his friendship with Sadyr Japarov has gone through many trials. He also noted that there are people who wish to undermine their alliance; however, their personal and political ties remain strong.
“Sadyr Nurgozhoevich and I are on the same wavelength in politics and share similar views on life, which, undoubtedly, is seen by the Almighty. Our support for each other is not based on a thirst for wealth or power, but on common values and love for our homeland and the people of Kyrgyzstan,” he remarked.
Despite widespread beliefs that there is no friendship in politics, some are trying to pit us against each other and are devising various plans. They believe that if we fall out, it will benefit them. Such hopes have existed and continue to exist, but they are doomed to fail. I do not aspire to Sadyr Nurgozhoevich's power or to the presidency.
Tashiev added that he has no intention of taking power from Japarov. “We have no disagreements, and this contributes to the development of the state and the resolution of many problems. This will continue to be the case. Only death can sever our friendship,” he concluded.
