At a recent meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of justice, law enforcement, crime fighting, and corruption, the deputies discussed the composition of the Council for Justice Affairs.

The chairman of the committee, Boloтbek Borbiev, reported that the nominations for inclusion in the council were proposed by deputies, the president, and the People's Kurultai.

In particular, on June 18, 2025, deputy of the VII convocation Balbak Tulobaev was elected to the council, and now it is necessary to choose his replacement from among the deputies of the VIII convocation. Bekmurza Ergeshov and Kubanychbek Samakov have been proposed as candidates, Borbiev noted.

At the committee meeting, the parliamentarians did not make a choice between the two candidates, suggesting that this decision be brought to the general assembly of deputies.

President Sadyr Japarov nominated the prosecutor of the Aksy district of the Jalal-Abad region, Ulukbek Chynybaev, for appointment to the Council for Justice Affairs.

Additionally, the People's Kurultai proposed the candidacy of Almazbek Aydarov.

After discussion, the committee members decided to present all proposed candidates to the Jogorku Kenesh for further consideration.

The Council for Justice Affairs is responsible for selecting candidates for vacant positions of judges in the Constitutional, Supreme, and local courts.
