A developer of a Russian nuclear strike bunker has been detained in Moscow
The developer of a bunker designed to protect against nuclear threats has been detained in Moscow, according to local news sources.

According to media reports, Nikolai Posokhov, who heads the Research Center for Improving Protective Measures of the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations, along with Igor Sosunov, the deputy head of the institute, are accused of receiving significant bribes using their official positions.

The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow has chosen a preventive measure for Sosunov in the form of detention, while Posokhov has been placed under house arrest.

They face up to 15 years in prison on corruption charges.

It is worth noting that Nikolai Posokhov is the author of the rapidly deployable protective structure "Kub-M," which is intended for use as a shelter, including from radiation exposure. Serial production of this bunker began in November 2024 in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region. It is designed to protect against various natural disasters and technological accidents. The standard configuration includes two modules: one room for 54 people and a technical module.
