Illegal missionary activities related to a non-traditional religious movement were halted in the territory of Manas, located in the Jalal-Abad region. This was reported by the press service of the State National Security Committee (GKNB).

According to information provided by the state committee, activities known as daawat, organized by followers of the religious movement "Furkan," were suppressed. This movement opposes the secular policies of states and actively supports the principles of Sharia.

As a result of the conducted operations, 20 people were detained, including 6 foreigners. It was established that representatives of "Furkan" chose the Jalal-Abad region as an experimental site for organizing religious events aimed at spreading their ideology and creating cells in the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan.

It should be noted that timely measures helped prevent the formation of one of the potential cells of undesirable religious organizations on the territory of the country.

The organizers and participants of the illegal missionary activities faced administrative fines. Currently, measures are being taken to ensure compliance with the norms of the KR Law "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations" and other regulatory acts of the country.
