After news of the detention emerged, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Kuwait promptly began to clarify the circumstances of the case and provide consular assistance to Dzhenalieva.
“Embassy staff maintained communication with her relatives, providing them with up-to-date information through phone calls. There was also ongoing interaction with the Iraqi authorities until the situation was resolved,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.
