According to the supervisory authority, this number exceeds last year's by 197 cases. Prosecutors actively participated in court proceedings at all levels, ensuring the legality and impartiality of the proceedings.
In terms of the cases reviewed:
- 1,419 cases (52.5%) resulted in guilty verdicts against 1,854 individuals;
- 1,080 criminal cases (39.9%) were terminated;
- 67 cases ended with acquittals for 98 defendants.
He noted that the number of acquittals decreased compared to 2024 by 14 cases and 36 individuals.
At the appellate and cassation stages, prosecutors checked the legality of judicial decisions, initiated motions against unjustified acts, and in some cases achieved their cancellation or modification.
Special attention was given to cases involving minors. During the reporting period, the district courts of Bishkek reviewed 84 criminal cases related to 132 minors. The state prosecution in these cases was carried out with an emphasis on protecting the rights and legal interests of children.
