In the Lenin district of Bishkek, police conducted an operation that resulted in the detention of a person suspected of committing a burglary. This information was provided by the District Internal Affairs Department.
The incident occurred on January 16, 2026, around 2 a.m. An unknown individual broke down the front door and entered a house located on Sadyrbaev Street, taking advantage of the owners' absence. As a result, he stole two televisions and construction tools, after which he fled the scene of the crime.
According to the investigation, after the theft, the perpetrator called a taxi, loaded the stolen items into it, and left.
In connection with the incident, the Investigation Service initiated a criminal case under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the investigation, the suspect, K.K., born in 1987, was identified and detained. The court in the Lenin district decided to impose a preventive measure in the form of electronic monitoring.
During the investigative activities, the previously stolen items were recovered, as well as a bicycle, which is now considered evidence. Work is currently ongoing to determine any possible connections between the detainee and other similar crimes.
