A large scheme of illegal land sales in the Suzak district has been thwarted in Kyrgyzstan

The head of the municipal enterprise "Suzak Tazalyk Koome" has been detained in the Jalal-Abad region.

A special operation conducted by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of Kyrgyzstan led to the exposure of a corruption scheme related to the illegal sale of land plots for individual housing construction (IHC).

The investigation established that the director of the enterprise, M.I., together with an accomplice, S.N., were selling land in the village of Blagoveshchenka by forging official documents from local authorities.

The cost of one plot ranged from 700,000 to 1.5 million soms.

To legitimize their actions, the suspects used mechanisms provided for land amnesty. Both individuals involved in the case have been placed in the GKNB detention center. The agency noted that such actions "destroy public trust in the authorities and harm national interests."
