A tragedy occurred in the state of Indiana involving a citizen of Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the accident that took place on February 3, 2026, on State Road 67, four people lost their lives. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the department, B.B., born in 1995, was driving the truck that collided with a passenger van. One of the participants in the accident sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation, and B.B. is in custody.
The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the USA and the Consulate General in Chicago are monitoring the situation. Diplomats are in contact with local authorities and the employer of the detained individual.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims of the tragedy and wished a speedy recovery to the injured party.
