According to Azizbek Ablabek uulu, head of the district department of the Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety, one of the teenagers was driving a Kia car, in which there were three schoolchildren. All of them were taken to the intensive care unit of the local hospital; however, despite the efforts of the medical staff, two of them died. The third injured student is in stable condition.
It should be noted that at the time of the accident, the children's parents were in Bishkek, and the schoolchildren took the car without permission and went out on the road. The preliminary cause of the accident was speeding.
According to official data, in Kyrgyzstan in 2025, there were 8,456 registered traffic accidents, resulting in 900 deaths and 12,169 injuries of varying severity. Speeding, crossing into oncoming traffic, driving under the influence of alcohol, and poor road conditions are the main factors contributing to accidents in the country.
