The GKNB has detained the suspect
Illegal activities of a pawnshop managed by a citizen of Kyrgyzstan named "A.E.S." were discovered in Manas, according to information provided by the GKNB press service.
The woman, who organized the so-called "black pawnshop" at her home, provided loans with an interest rate exceeding 150% per annum, secured by both movable and immovable property, as well as jewelry made of precious metals.
For example, a citizen "Sh.K.U." who borrowed 1 million soms from "A.E.S." was forced to pay 150 thousand soms monthly just in interest. During the repayment of the principal debt, "A.E.S." repeatedly attempted to seize "Sh.K.U.'s" property, resorting to extortion and threats, demanding early payments and even confiscating his car.
On February 4, 2026, when the woman received 200 thousand soms in interest, she was caught in the act. During searches at her residence, technical passports for real estate, ID passports, state acts of private ownership of land, pledged jewelry, and other documents were seized.
As a result of investigative activities, "A.E.S." confessed to her criminal actions.
