Employees of the State Tax Service in Bishkek conducted an inspection, during which underground workshops engaged in the production of alcoholic beverages were uncovered. These activities are part of efforts to improve control over the circulation of excise goods.

According to the State Tax Service, the inspection resulted in the seizure of 902 liters of alcohol, 381 bottles of vodka, 43 liters of diluted alcohol, as well as equipment for bottling and producing vodka in cups. Additionally, 164 counterfeit excise stamps were discovered.

It turned out that the production was carried out without the necessary licenses and permits, without affixing excise stamps, and without paying taxes, including excise tax. All materials have been handed over to law enforcement agencies for further legal assessment.

Additionally, in the village of Lenin in the Alamudun district, a workshop for the production of low-alcohol beverages was also discovered. This product was produced without licenses, excise stamps, and payment of excise tax. Following the inspection, reports were drawn up and an administrative fine was imposed.

The State Tax Service reminded that for the sale of excise goods without excise stamps (in quantities up to 200 units), a fine of 100,000 soms is imposed. If the quantity exceeds 200 units, this may lead to criminal liability, including imprisonment for up to seven years.

The tax service urges entrepreneurs to strictly adhere to the requirements of the legislation, and citizens to check the presence and authenticity of excise stamps. This can be done using the Salyk mobile application, utilizing the scanning function or manual data entry.
