According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the incident, a woman born in 2008 and a man born in 1996 fell into the water.
Four rescuers from the Karakol City Department No. 15 arrived at the scene. They quickly pulled the woman from the water and handed her over to medical personnel. The man was rescued by a local resident before the rescuers arrived.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns that the ice on water bodies remains thin and poses a danger. Therefore, going out on the ice, skating, and ice fishing can threaten lives.
Rescuers strongly urge parents to keep an eye on their children and not allow them to go out on the ice.
