According to preliminary data, there were between 40 to 45 passengers on the "Setra" bus. Many eyewitnesses, commenting on the incident on social media, express dissatisfaction with the irresponsibility of animal owners who leave their pets unattended near busy highways at night.
The Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region confirmed the information about the accident. It became known that on February 13, 2026, at approximately 21:43, a bus traveling west hit a horse that unexpectedly ran onto the roadway. An investigative operational group was dispatched to the scene.
Fortunately, none of the passengers on the bus were injured; however, the vehicle sustained significant mechanical damage, resulting in serious material losses.
An investigation into the incident is currently being conducted by police officers.
