The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) has returned the building of the editorial office of "Batken Tany," located in Batken, to state ownership. This property was previously transferred to private hands illegally.
According to the information from the agency, after conducting operational investigative activities and registering materials in the automated information system (AIS) of the State Property Management Agency, the building was returned to the state's balance.
During the investigation, it was revealed that in January 2010, the Ministry of State Property of the Kyrgyz Republic sold the building of the editorial office along with a land plot of 0.22 hectares. This occurred based on a government resolution adopted on September 17, 2008, under number 518, which pertained to the privatization program for state property for the years 2008–2012.
However, the sale was conducted in violation of the norms of this regulatory legal act, despite the importance of the property for the state.
