According to the agency's information, during the implementation of state policy aimed at returning illegally privatized property, it was established that the building had been transferred to private hands unlawfully.

The GKNB clarified that in January 2010, the building, along with a land plot of 0.22 hectares, was sold based on government resolution No. 518 dated September 17, 2008, concerning the privatization program for 2008-2012. However, as specialists found out, the privatization was carried out in violation of the norms of this regulatory act, despite the importance of the object for the state.
Materials related to the case have been registered in the automated information system ZHUY ERP.
As a result of the conducted operational-investigative actions, the building of the editorial office and the adjacent plot were returned to state ownership.
The GKNB noted that work on the return of illegally privatized state objects continues.
