According to information provided by the Turmush press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, today, February 23, at 14:54, a call was received at the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil district via the emergency line 103, reporting that a young man, presumably aged 20-25, had been hit by a train. With the injuries sustained, he was transported to the intensive care unit of the district hospital in a comatose state.
The investigative operational group immediately headed to the scene of the incident, where they confirmed the received information: freight train No. 3718, traveling from Bishkek to Lugovoe from east to west, struck local resident S.R., born in 2009, at the crossing.
The victim was urgently transferred to the intensive care unit of the Kara-Balta hospital with severe injuries: closed traumatic brain injury, concussion, chest contusion, and comatose state. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of the doctors, he passed away without regaining consciousness.
Currently, an investigation into this incident is ongoing, and necessary forensic examinations have been appointed.
Based on the results of the investigation, an appropriate procedural decision will be made.
