At least six other victims have been identified.
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a suspect in fraud has been detained. This was reported by the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District.
As the law enforcement agencies found out, on February 13, a citizen named M. B. approached them. He filed a written complaint about the fraudulent actions of a certain U., who promised in December 2024 to arrange a job for him at the company "Kumtor Gold Company." After receiving 135,000 soms from M. B., U. failed to fulfill his obligations and disappeared.
As a result, a criminal case was initiated under part 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Police officers were able to identify the suspect, who turned out to be 33-year-old Z. U. He was detained and sent to the investigative department, and then placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the moment, his involvement in six other similar crimes has been established.
