In Bishkek, employees of the State National Security Committee (GKNB), in cooperation with the Internal Affairs Ministry's Internal Security Service, have initiated an investigation into the abuse of power involving the use of violence. The incident occurred at the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) in the capital.
According to information provided by the GKNB, district police officers of the Lenin District DIA detained a citizen, L.T.D., on charges of petty hooliganism and, without any grounds, applied physical force against him.
As a result of the beating, the victim was urgently hospitalized at the National Hospital, where he received necessary medical assistance.
An expert assessment revealed that the detainee had sustained bodily injuries, including a concussion, spinal injuries with fractures, as well as bruises to the face and lower back.
In connection with the incident, junior lieutenant of police R. u M. was arrested and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB Security Service.
