In Kyrgyzstan, employees of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) prevented the actions of a foreign citizen, an adherent of radical religious ideology, who intended to create hidden cells by recruiting local youth.
According to the GKNB, this citizen has been expelled from the country and has also been banned from entering Kyrgyzstan for an extended period.
The GKNB urges foreign citizens to strictly comply with the laws of Kyrgyzstan and refrain from conducting missionary activities without prior registration with the authorized bodies. This also applies to religious sermons conducted through mass media, social networks, and mobile applications.
The statement clarifies that non-compliance with legislation in the field of religion may result in both administrative and criminal liability.
