He offered 100-gram bars of precious metal
A man was detained in Kyrgyzstan for attempting to bribe an employee of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) by offering him gold. This was reported by the press service of the agency.
The detention took place on February 23, 2026. The suspect, a citizen named "D.R.E", born in 1978, was caught during operational-search activities when he tried to hand over two gold bars weighing 200 grams to the law enforcement officer, hoping to resolve issues related to a criminal case.
The man was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
