Fuel truck exploded on the Bishkek-Osh highway: Identity of the deceased established

As a result of an accident on the Bishkek-Osh highway, in which a fuel truck exploded, an investigation is underway.

According to information provided by the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region, on February 25, a complete fire occurred in a truck transporting fuel on the Bishkek-Osh highway. As a result of the incident, the body of a man was found.

The incident became known at 17:20 on February 25, 2026, when a report was received at the duty station of the Internal Affairs Department of the city of Kara-Kul through operators of the "112" service. A fire was reported in a heavy-duty truck (fuel tanker) on the 423rd kilometer of the Bishkek-Osh road, which was moving in a southern direction.

The fact was registered in the electronic log of the Internal Affairs Department, after which an investigative operational group was dispatched.

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers found a overturned DAF truck with a trailer in the opposite lane (section 400–423 km). The vehicle was engulfed in flames. Firefighters who arrived at the scene managed to localize and extinguish the fire.

During the examination of the burned cabin, a charred body was found. It was established that the deceased was a resident of the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, born in 1985, named T.Ch. His body was sent to the morgue of the city hospital in Kara-Kul.

At present, a forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the exact cause of death. Investigative authorities continue to work on investigating all circumstances related to this road traffic accident, which caused the fire.
