The former head of the Balıkchy Police Department Chyngyz Tokoldoshov has been sent to a pre-trial detention center.

According to information provided by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, the arrest of Tokoldoshov took place as part of an investigation initiated by an inter-agency investigative group. The court granted the request for detention, making the decision on February 27, 2026.

In accordance with the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, Tokoldoshov is charged under Article 336 "Corruption," and he will remain in custody until April 15, 2026.

It should be noted that Tokoldoshov is mentioned in a scandalous video related to the so-called "40 choro," associated with the former head of the State National Security Committee of Bishkek, Jakypbekov.

Additionally, he is a relative of the former prosecutor of Jalal-Abad (now the city of Manas) and former Deputy Attorney General of the Kyrgyz Republic, Rysbek Alchiev. His sister, Venera, who works as a notary in Bishkek, is married to Alchiev.
