The individual, identified as K.D.M., born in 1980, had been placed on the wanted list in Russia on suspicion of committing fraud amounting to 8 million 346 thousand rubles. Investigative authorities believe that he was hiding in Issyk-Kul, using a passport of a Kyrgyz citizen issued under a different name.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that a verification of the legality of the issuance of this document is currently underway.
The detention was the result of joint efforts with foreign law enforcement agencies.
