According to information from the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), a significant member of the banned extremist group "Hizb ut-Tahrir" was detained in the Jalal-Abad region. Details about the arrest were provided by the SCNS.
As reported by the special services, the detainee, identified as M.N.E., acted as a "masul" in his district. He maintained active connections with the leadership of the regional extremist cell in Kyrgyzstan, as well as with international representatives of the organization. It is known that for several years he actively spread extremist ideas among the local population, attracting new followers, disseminating extremist materials, and collecting financial contributions from ordinary members of the group.
The suspect is currently in custody at the SCNS pre-trial detention center, where investigative actions are ongoing.
