In the course of these activities, the participants gradually introduced ideas related to the banned extremist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami."
The leaders of this group actively used closed Telegram channels to disseminate extremist literature and discuss the establishment of a caliphate in Kyrgyzstan.
During searches at the addresses of the detainees, a significant amount of prohibited materials was seized, including literature, electronic devices, computers, and mobile phones.
On January 29, 2026, as a result of investigative and operational activities, five members of the women's wing of this extremist organization were detained and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is ongoing.
The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic warns that participation of citizens in the activities of religious extremist organizations, as well as the dissemination of extremist materials, may lead to criminal liability.
