Operational investigative actions were initiated by the GKNB in cooperation with the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region to monitor the religious situation and combat the activities of the extremist group "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami." This was reported in a press release from the GKNB.
During the criminal investigation, on February 10, 2026, searches were conducted in the homes of 11 activists and supporters of this organization in the Nookat district.
As a result of these activities, 217 items were seized, including 75 books, 14 mobile devices, 18 notebooks, 86 DVDs, 4 tablets, 1 laptop, 2 SIM cards, 14 passports of Russian citizens, 1 seal, 1 videotape, and a "Bakay Bank" bank card.
All seized materials have been sent for judicial religious studies expertise. Based on the results of the expertise, appropriate measures will be taken against members of the religious extremist group "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami," the agency reported.
