In Chuy Region, a suspect in a $27,000 fraud case has been detained

According to police reports, a suspect in fraud was detained in the Chuy region. The incident occurred on January 13, 2026, when I. A. filed a complaint with the Internal Affairs Department of the Alamedin district against S. K.

According to the complainant, S. K., having gained trust, promised to provide legal assistance in obtaining a land plot of 82 hectares in the Uzun-Kyr rural administration of the Issyk-Ata district, as well as in processing documents for 200 hectares of unused land in the forestry sector. He took $27,000 and then disappeared.

The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
