According to the agency, the fire broke out at the 140th kilometer of the highway in the Jayil district when a vehicle transporting petroleum products caught fire. A signal about the fire was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, after which a fire and rescue team from the Jayil district left for the scene at 11:36.
The fire was extinguished by 14:44. As a result of the incident, two people died, and their identities are currently being established.
After all necessary rescue operations were completed, traffic on this section of the road was restored in both directions, and passage for vehicles became free.
