According to eyewitness accounts, the incident took place on the Bishkek—Osh road.
The Traffic Safety Department (UOBDD) of the Osh region's Internal Affairs Directorate confirmed information about the incident. The accident occurred at 14:50 on the 663 km mark of the Bishkek—Osh highway, within the village of Furkat.
Preliminary data indicates that a 25-year-old resident of the rural district of Otuz-Adyr, K. uulu M., was driving his "Honda Step" at high speed from north to south and hit schoolchildren who were on the pedestrian crossing on the west side of the road. The victims were three children from Furkat: A.A., born in 2018, her sister A.A., born in 2016, and O.A., born in 2019.
After hitting the pedestrians, the driver's "Honda Step" collided with a parked "Daewoo Tico," driven by a 32-year-old resident of the village of Torgoy-Bulak, K. uulu K. As a result of the impact, the "Daewoo Tico" was pinned against a "Mercedes-Benz Atego 1217," driven by a 28-year-old resident of the village of Shibe, G. uulu T.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the "Daewoo Tico" and his two sons — K.U., born in 2015, and K.A., born in 2018 — sustained injuries and were taken to the Osh Regional Hospital for medical assistance.
According to UOBDD data, the vehicle of the accident's perpetrator was placed in a tow lot, and the case materials were transferred to investigative authorities.
