As part of the competition, 20 matches are scheduled in five Olympic weight categories: up to 57 kg, 65 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, and 97 kg.
Each category will be represented by four wrestlers, who will be paired for the semifinal matches. Following this, there will be a match for third place and the final bout.
The tournament is expected to feature titled champions of the Olympic Games, as well as medalists from world and continental championships. Among the participants are the current world champion from Japan, Yoshinosuke Aoyagi, and the 2023 world champion, Rizabek Aitmukhan from Kazakhstan.
Additionally, the tournament program includes a Greco-Roman wrestling match between Akjol Mahmudov and Bulgarian athlete Aik Mnatsakanyan.
