A significant event has occurred in the history of tennis: Carlos Alcaraz, a 22-year-old Spaniard, has won the title at the 2026 Australian Open, defeating the renowned Serbian Novak Djokovic, who holds 24 Grand Slam titles, in a dramatic final. The match concluded with a score of 3:1 (2:6, 6:2, 6:3, 7:5).

This victory not only brought Alcaraz a historic trophy but also allowed him to complete a career Grand Slam, becoming the youngest tennis player in history to collect all four major titles. He broke the record of his famous compatriot Rafael Nadal. Additionally, Carlos earned over 3.1 million Australian dollars (approximately 2 million British pounds) in prize money.

In accordance with tradition, the seven-time Grand Slam champion decided to commemorate his achievement with a tattoo. Even before the tournament began, he announced his intention to get an image of a kangaroo – the symbol of Australia – on his skin.

"It will be a small kangaroo on my leg. I haven't decided exactly where yet, but it will be part of my tattoo collection," Alcaraz shared his plans. His collection already includes tattoos symbolizing important victories: a strawberry (Wimbledon), the Eiffel Tower (in honor of Roland Garros), as well as the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge, dedicated to his successes at the US Open.
