A representative of Kyrgyzstan won two medals at the Asian Cycling Championship
From February 5 to 13, the 45th Asian Road Cycling Championship is taking place in Saudi Arabia, with the Kyrgyzstan national team participating, according to information from the federation of this sport.

Igor Filin, representing Kyrgyzstan, won a gold medal in the "masters 60-64" category, confidently demonstrating his skills in the road race over a distance of 62.4 kilometers. Previously, he also managed to secure a silver medal in the individual time trial over 20 kilometers.

This achievement marks the first gold for Kyrgyzstan in a road race in the entire history of its independence. Additionally, this award is the fifth gold medal won by Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Road Cycling Championships.

Previously, gold medals at continental championships were won by Yevgeny Vakker in 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2012 in individual races.
