Lacerda, a native of Ukraine, took the coaching position in April 2025. Under his leadership, the team reached the final stage of the Asian U-23 Cup for the first time in its history, which took place in Saudi Arabia. However, despite their efforts, the team was unable to secure a single victory, finishing the tournament after the group stage with three losses.
After the conclusion of the Asian Cup, Lacerda was also appointed head coach of the club "Muras United" and will combine this role with his responsibilities for the national team. In the near future, the youth team under his guidance will participate in the Asian Games tournament, which will be held in the fall in Japan.
